We welcomed Dr Rosie Nielsen to our healthcare team in February 2019. Rosie grew up on a property west of Bourke. After high school she was a jillaroo on a cattle station in the Northern Territory. She then moved to Sydney for university where she initially studied Law and Indigenous Health before transferring to the University of New England to study Medicine. Rosie graduated from UNE with a Bachelor of Medicine in 2015.
Rosie completed her first two years as a junior doctor in Dubbo. She then moved to Darwin where she worked in Obstetrics and Gynaecology (completing her Diploma via the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology). Her areas of interest in General Practice include women’s health, child health and Indigenous health.
In her spare time Rosie enjoys spending time with family and friends, playing hockey, cooking, reading and travelling.
