General Practitioners

In her role as a clinician, Dr Ai-Vee Chua enjoys all aspects of general practice, and has particular interests in general medicine, children's health, and women's health. She is a strong proponent of preventive health, and is committed to a patient-centered approach to healthcare.

Prior to settling in Dubbo as a General Practitioner in 2002, Dr Chua completed her medical degree at the University of Sydney, and obtained her post-graduate experience in a variety of medical disciplines in the hospital setting as well as in general practice in Hornsby and Grafton. She holds a Fellowship in General Practice and a Diploma in Child Health.

Outside of the practice, Dr Chua is involved with teaching medical students and primary care research at the School of Rural Health, University of Sydney, and is Chair of Western Clinical Council with the Western NSW Primary Health Network.

She is a dedicated Mum of three lively girls, loves playing the piano and violin, enjoys her vegie garden and cooking, and one day hopes to attain her black belt in karate.
